Before Papertrail, verifying a candidate meant deploying armies of field agents, making endless phone calls, and dealing with weeks of delay—only to receive a subjective, non-auditable PDF report at the end. This system wasn't just slow; it was fundamentally flawed. It penalized honest candidates and failed to stop sophisticated fraud.
We realized that fixing this didn't mean making the old system faster. It meant building a completely new infrastructure.

By connecting directly to over 400 primary-source registries—from government identity databases to university ledgers—we have removed the middleman from truth. Trust cannot exist without privacy. We minimise data collection, apply encryption in transit and at rest, and purge records once compliance allows.

Our AI engines operate with 100% explainability. We believe that if an algorithm flags a human being, it must be able to cite its evidence flawlessly.

How we got here
Rebuilding the infrastructure of trust takes time. Here is the path we walked.
The Genesis
Founded by a team of cryptography engineers and compliance experts who experienced firsthand the delays of enterprise background checks. The first version of the platform focused exclusively on real-time Aadhaar and PAN verification.
The Compliance Engine
Expanded into court records, education, and financial verification. We built our proprietary machine-learning pipeline to parse millions of unstructured legal records, identifying true matches with unprecedented accuracy.
Enterprise Scale
Launched the unified API and automated consent workflows, becoming the backbone of onboarding for leading BFSI, Healthcare, and Gig Economy platforms across India.
