Analytics

The numbers your screening programme generates, made useful.

TAT by check type, discrepancy rates by role, cost per hire by location — Papertrail turns operational data into the arguments an HR leader needs at the next budget review.

The dashboard

Six views that answer the questions you actually get asked.

Each view below is a question someone — your CHRO, your procurement team, your ops lead — will ask about the screening programme. The dashboard is built around those questions, not around the data model.

  • Median, P90 and P99 turnaround for every check type, broken down by the vendor or registry that fulfilled it. A court record check in Karnataka averaging 6 days while Gujarat averages 2 is visible here — and actionable before the quarterly review.

  • Tracks spend against hiring volume so procurement can see the blended rate, not just the per-check list price. Exportable as the table your finance team already asks for at quarter-end.

  • If candidates are abandoning at the document-upload screen, you know the check package is asking for something they can't easily produce. This view surfaces that before it becomes a hiring-funnel problem.

  • Not a percentage — a named list. Every breach is attributed to the specific check and vendor that overran, with the escalation path it took and whether the re-route resolved it.

  • Hiring volume, screening coverage (what percentage of hires are screened), average TAT, discrepancy rate, and cost per hire — five numbers that tell the story of the programme in one screen. Exportable as a PDF one-pager.

FAQ

Analytics, answered

  • The six views cover the questions most teams ask. If you need a specific cut — discrepancy rate by hiring manager, TAT by recruiter — the CSV export gives you the underlying data to build it in your own BI tool. A custom dashboard API is on the roadmap but not shipped yet.

  • In real time. A case closing, a check completing, a discrepancy being raised — each updates the relevant charts immediately. There is no batch window or overnight refresh.

  • The programme health scorecard exports as a PDF one-pager. Individual views export as CSV. Both can be shared without requiring the recipient to have a Papertrail account.

  • No. Analytics are aggregate — rates, medians, trends. Individual case data is in the case management view, access-controlled by role. The analytics dashboard never exposes a specific candidate's name or results.

Analytics are only useful with real volume behind them. We will set up a pilot so your team can see the dashboard on actual hiring data, not a prefilled demo.
