How packages actually work
Every check you select runs concurrently against its own sources, so combining checks does not multiply turnaround — a package of five checks does not take five times as long as one. The package closes when its slowest individual check closes, which is exactly what the package builder above calculates.
Yes. A check can be added to an open case at any point before the report is issued, and it is priced and timed independently — it does not restart or delay the checks already running. Once a report has been issued, adding a check opens a new, linked case rather than reopening the original.
An insufficiency is a check that could not be completed with the information available — an employer who never responds, a registrar with no digitised record for that year, an address that cannot be located. It is reported explicitly as insufficient, never rounded up to a clear result or down to a flag.
No. Most roles need three to five checks — identity and address are close to universal, while court records, credit checks and health screening are typically added for roles that specifically call for them. The package builder above is meant for narrowing down to what your role actually needs.
